Having received my DSi today - thanks Amazon :) - I can say it really was worth the wait and the increased price. Here's why:
- The screens which are slightly larger than the DS and brighter are WOW for playing your favourite games on - I really noticed the difference

Time and technology has really moved on with the Nintendo DS and to think it was reincarnated from the Gameboy. I owned the original Gameboy, Gameboy Colour (skipping a few generations), then to the Nintendo DS Lite in 2006, to DSi in 2009 ! It has definately been worth the wait !

For those of you that have compared the pros and cons here is a reminder :

Pros ::

- Bigger LCD screens 3.25"
- Much improved menu and icon system ( Feels like the Wii )
- Hot swap Cartridges from menu system if power button is pressed ( no more turning off DS )
- DSi Shop enables user to buy Demos, Games and other useful programs, from *free* to 500+ points
- Plays Music Files ( AAC only - iTunes can convert MP3 to AAC )
